Independence
Editors assign and shape stories without input from advertisers, affiliate partners, or sources. A commercial relationship never determines whether we publish a story or what it says.
Corrections
If we get a material fact wrong, we correct it clearly and promptly. Readers can write to corrections@thefiscalroute.com with a source and a description of the issue.
Evidence and uncertainty
We link to primary sources where possible, distinguish reporting from advice, and name the assumptions behind numbers. Personal finance is personal; useful guidance makes room for that.
